| The Evangelism Ministry:
The Evangelism Ministry is charged with researching, implementing, and promoting the growth of the church by sharing the Gospel, publicizing the ministries of the church to the community, and encouraging others to seek out a relationship with God. The ministry also recruits and trains greeters and is responsible for following up with those who visit our church. In some cases, ministry members create and distribute baskets of muffins and other goodies to those who move to our community, visitors, and other potential members. The ministry also facilitates other membership-related activities, such as the creation of a church directory.
The Evangelism Ministry is responsible for building and maintaining church membership. It leads the education and assimilation of new members, running formal sessions and informal cottage meetings in order to give new members information on the church and provide these individuals with opportunities to give us information on them. They pair new members with shepherds (mentors) and follow through with new members after they have joined to ensure that they remain in the mainstream of fellowship.
How can I become involved in the Evangelism Ministry?
*Welcome a stranger or visitor whenever you see one. *Serve as a greeter. *Help to create and distribute food baskets. *Call on potential new members to share with them all our church has to offer. *Serve as a shepherd or mentor to a new member. *Host a cottage meeting. *Follow up with a member that you have not seen in church recently.
